VALLIANT BULLDOGS CHEER
Coach: STEPHANIE COULTER
The Valliant Bulldogs cheer squad is entering the 2025-2026 season with momentum, determination, and a hunger to achieve new heights. Head coach Stephanie Coulter said she couldn’t be prouder of the effort her team has already shown. “This is a team that works hard and doesn’t complain,” Coulter said. “So far, they have completed several fundraisers, had a successful three days at J&C Cheer Camp and have been working hard in practices. Last year our team made the finals in Class 3A Game Day Cheer and finished 6th in the state. Every year, we set goals, and they just keep crushing them. They have their sights set on a Top 3 finish this year and I know they will put in the work and give it their all! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this team!”
At the heart of this squad is a group of leaders and role models who set the standard for their teammates. Abby Crutchfield embodies the spirit of a complete cheerleader. Coulter praised her leadership and talent: “She is an all-around cheerleader. She has great motion technique, a strong voice, and amazing jumps. Above all of that she has a passion for the sport of cheer and her love for cheer is always shining!”
The Bulldogs also celebrate athletes who bring unique journeys and fresh energy to the team. M’Kenna Hankins didn’t begin cheering until her sophomore year, but she has quickly become a standout. “M’Kenna is a senior who gave cheer a try as a sophomore and her raw natural ability has now been smoothed and practiced so much that you would never know she has only been cheering three years. M’Kenna is a graduate of the KTC Program in the health science field and has a bright future in the medical field after high school,” Coulter shared.
Young talent is also on the rise, with sophomore Sarynidee Kennybrew earning recognition as an underclassman to watch. “Sarynidee is a sophomore who has a lot of cheer ability. She has become a great flyer and her performance skills and sign work during our competition is something I want everyone to strive to achieve,” Coulter said.
Character and positivity remain cornerstones of the Bulldogs’ program, and for Coulter, no one represents that better thanLaila Barnett. “Laila is one of the kindest and sweetest young ladies you will ever meet. She makes good choices and is kind to everyone. She may be having a bad day, but you will never know it because she wears a smile and lifts others up,” Coulter said.
With determination, talent, and leadership at every level, the Valliant Bulldogs cheer team is poised to continue their tradition of success while aiming for a Top 3 state finish this season.
