Valliant’s Sarynidee Kennybrew

As the years pass, athletes often realize that the memories they cherish most are not always the trophies or awards. Sometimes, it’s the people, lessons and moments shared along the way. For Valliant High School cheerleader Sarynidee Kennybrew, those experiences have helped shape who she is both on and off the mat.

Entering her junior year, Kennybrew has dedicated herself to cheer and embraced the challenges that come with being part of a competitive program. Some of her favorite memories came during her freshman and sophomore seasons when Valliant advanced to the finals at the state cheer competition.

“Hearing my team being called for top finalists” remains one of the moments she treasures most from her high school career.

Cheer has also taught Kennybrew lessons that extend far beyond competition. She learned early that success does not always come easily and that perseverance often makes the difference. Whether it was adjusting routines the night before a performance or making last-minute changes on competition day, she and her teammates learned how to adapt and keep moving forward.

Those experiences taught her patience, resilience and the importance of maintaining a positive attitude during difficult situations. Rather than becoming discouraged when things did not go according to plan, Kennybrew learned to trust the process and continue working toward her goals.

One of the biggest influences in her life has been cheer coach Stephanie Coulter. Kennybrew credits Coulter for helping her grow as both an athlete and a person.

“She always believes in me even whenever I don’t,” Kennybrew said. “She teaches me to push myself no matter what.”

She also looks up to team captain Landi Coulter, whose determination and commitment have left a lasting impression. Kennybrew admires how her captain remains positive, works through challenges and consistently makes time for her teammates despite a busy schedule.

Outside of school, Kennybrew participates in FCA and attends Olive Branch Baptist Church. Her faith plays an important role in her life, and she is thankful for the opportunities she has been given.

As she prepares for another season, Kennybrew holds onto a piece of advice that has become increasingly meaningful: cherish every moment because time passes quickly. Surrounded by the support of her family, teammates, coaches and faith, she continues to make the most of every opportunity that comes her way.
