The Wright City Lumberjax boys basketball team is getting ready for the 2023-24 season, and expectations are soaring high. Coming off a successful 2022 season with a record of 19-10, the Lumberjax are poised to take their game to the next level. Under the guidance of experienced head coach Joel Dickerson, the Lumberjax are set to build on their achievements from the previous season. With a strong core of talent and invaluable experience returning, the team is brimming with confidence. “The expectations will be high for the upcoming season,” Dickerson said. A dynamic and athletic point guard, Kase Lindly (5-10, Jr.) is set to lead the charge for the Lumberjax. With an impressive average of 14 points per game and an impressive two steals per game, Lindly is a potent offensive and defensive force on the court. His versatility allowshim to score from outside or attack the rim, making him a challenge for any opponent. As a junior, he’s rapidly gaining recognition as one of the top guards in Class A. A towering presence, Conner Green (6-6, Sr.) is a forward who averaged 12 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. His inside presence and scoring ability make him an asset in the paint. Joseph Vance (6-5, Sr.) embodies the qualities of a coach’s dream role player. His relentless work ethic, unselfishness, and the ability to execute any task to the best of his ability make him an invaluable contributor to the team. Look for him to excel in plays off rebounds and during transition. The Lumberjax are confident in their ability to compete at a high level in the upcoming season. With a roster filled with talent, athleticism and dedicated role players, they are well-poised to make their mark in Class A basketball. The Wright City Lumberjax Boys Basketball Team is determined to make an impact in the 2023-24 season.
