Brinlee Snider, a spirited cheerleader at Idabel High School, is leading her team with
kindness, passion and team spirit.
Her middle school cheer coach, Mrs. Rogers, left a lasting impact on Snider. “She led our
team with respect, and she made sure we were on task in order to make our team look the
very best we possibly could,” Snider said.

On the Idabel squad, Snider admires her teammate, Mya Murray. “She always comes to
practice with a positive attitude, and she is ready to work hard,” Snider said. “When
something is going wrong with someone on the team, she is always there for
encouragement.”
Among her favorite teachers, Snider holds her choir teacher, Mrs. Saelim, in high regard. “
She was great at what she did, and she cared about everyone in the class like they were her
own children,” Snider said.
Snider’s off-season preparation is centered on enhancing her technique and increasing her
stamina. “I have been focused on stretching to improve my high kick for our upcoming
game day routine, and I have consistently been focused on working out and eating healthy,”
she said.
Cheerleading has taught Snider the value of the little things. “Being in cheer has helped me
to realize that having a good attitude takes you a long way in life because you can know the
whole routine for a cheer, but if you don’t have a positive attitude, then you won’t lead the
crowd effectively,” she said. “The same thing applies to life.”
Snider hopes to foster stronger bonds within the team and excel in their competition
Gameday routine: “I would like for us as a team to grow a better relationship with one
another, so we can be more positive and uplifting to one another like a sisterhood.”
Beyond high school, Snider is pursuing a career in cosmetology. “I am currently in
cosmetology school, and after I graduate high school, I want to complete it,” she said. “After
I graduate from cosmetology, I plan to open up my own salon and boutique.”
