Broken Bow’s DeJhaun Hall – Football Spotlight – Presented by Pine Cellular

For DeJhaun Hall, one game will always stand out. “My favorite memory as a Savage is beating the McAlester Buffalos for the first time in eight years,” Hall said. As just a sophomore, the Broken Bow playmaker has already etched moments into the program’s history—and he’s determined to make many more.

That drive comes from a clear vision for what he wants to accomplish. “My personal goals are to do whatever it takes to bring my town a state championship and to earn a college offer by the end of the season,” Hall explained. It’s a commitment that extends beyond himself, built around the unity of his team. “Last year, our head coach came in late, so we had to rush to learn everything. This season, we’ve had a full offseason together, and it’s really helped. Our team chemistry is much stronger compared to last year.”

Hall has seen that growth translate into leadership across the roster. “The biggest improvement I’ve seen is maturity. We have a lot more leaders this season compared to last year,” he said. Those leaders, including Hall, have kept their goals simple and ambitious. “Our three main goals are to win district, play in the state game, and make our city proud.”

For Hall, versatility is what sets the Savages apart. “I think our biggest strength is our diversity. Our coaches know they can put the ball in any player’s hands on offense and be successful. We’ve got a strong running back in Snooty Neal and talented receivers like Kalel Flagg.”

Hall is one of those key offensive weapons. “I play slot receiver and safety,” he said. His preparation is intentional and focused. “When I’m reading a defense, I look for things like trips, bunch, empty sets, tight splits, and wide splits to get a sense of what they’re trying to do.” He also makes sure his body and mind are game-ready. “I prepare by listening to music, getting a good stretch in before the game, and making sure I eat a good meal.”

Every snap, Hall carries motivation beyond the scoreboard. “My mindset is to make my Pawpaw KT proud and to represent my family,” he said. That passion fuels his bigger picture. “I want to be remembered as the most dominant receiver to ever come through Broken Bow.”

Not everything about the Savages is seen under Friday night lights. “A lot of people don’t know that we have team Bible study multiple times throughout the week,” Hall shared. For him, it’s another sign of the bond that makes this season special.
