BROKEN BOW SAVAGES
Coach: MAVERICK LANG
6-4
OFFENSE
With year one under his belt, head coach Maverick Lang is excited about the momentum building inside the Broken Bow football program. Entering the 2025 season, Lang and his staff are focused on one major theme: consistency. “We are excited about the experience that we are bringing back from last season. Our main emphasis as a program this season is consistence,” said Lang. “If we can be consistent in upholding our standard of football then we will be better prepared for when opportunities present themselves this season.”
The Savages return eight starters on offense, including standout junior quarterback Greydon Howell (5-11, 178, Jr.). Howell made a major impact in his first full season back under center, passing for 1,994 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 1,052 rushing yards and 19 scores. Sophomore wide receiver DeJhaun Hall (6-0, 176, So.) returns after leading the team in all receiving categories with 662 yards and 5 touchdowns. “DeJhaun is a physically gifted kid that has the strongest hands that I have seen when it comes to catching the football. He’s a kid that also prides his self on blocking.” The offensive front is anchored by senior left tackle Kamden Jackman (6-5, 295, Sr.), while junior hybrid back Kade Pratt (6-4, 218, Jr.) adds versatility. Senior AJ Brannon (6-2, 197, Sr.) and junior running back Jattairrius Neal (6-2, 192, Jr.) round out a skilled group in Lang’s multiple spread attack. “We use different formations, motions, and shifts to allow for us to get our playmakers the ball in space while also wanting to establish a physical run game.”
DEFENSE
Defensively, the Savages also return eight starters and base out of the 4-2-5. “We do multiple things out of our base defense that allows for our players to use their abilities and make plays,” said Lang. Senior Sky Baker (6-2, 173, Sr.) is a playmaker at free safety. “Sky is a very athletic kid with a great skill set at both free safety and slot receiver… He is one of our most versatile players.” Senior defensive end Kale Ginn (5-11, 225, Sr.), tackle Jimmy Brown (5-10, 245, Sr.), and linebacker Kade Pratt bring toughness in the front seven. Senior corner Isiah Fields (5-11, 168, Sr.) and strong safety Cole Patrick (5-8, 157, Sr.) bolster a physical secondary.
