Wright City LumberJax Basketball Team – Presented by Weyerhaeuser

WRIGHT CITY JAXS

BOYS

Coach: JOEL DICKERSON

23-24 Record: 23-7

After an impressive 23-7 record last season, the Wright City Jaxs are gearing up for a challenging 2024 campaign, filled with high expectations. With a blend of experience and youth, Head coach Joel Dickerson believes his team is ready to take on a tough schedule and make another deep playoff run. “We return a wealth of experience while adding depth from the bench,” Dickerson said. “The LumberJax run deep into the playoffs stets them up for the possibility of another run. The Jax schedule will be very challenging this season. Wright City has tournaments which include many 3A and 4A opponents.”

One of the key players for Wright City is senior point guard Kase Lindly (5-10, PG, Sr.), who has been a standout for the Jaxs over the past few years. “He averages close to 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals a game,” Dickerson said. “He’s been a three-year starter.”

In addition to Lindly, senior Rayner Beene (5-10, SG, Sr.) will play a critical role. He averaged 9 points a game last year and is a big contributor on both ends of the floor. The Jaxs’ roster also includes senior center Reed Roath (6-2, C, Sr.), who averaged 5 rebounds per game last season. Reed brings a lot of size and strength inside for Wright City

Juniors Kaynon Burrell (6-2, F, Jr.), Kayden Cummings (5-10, G, Jr.), and Maddox Replogle (5-10, SG, Jr.) are all expected to play significant roles. Kayden and Maddox are both great shooters and can contribute offensively. The Jax are counting on all three of them to take the next step this season. Seniors Tristian Gross (5-10, G, Sr.) and Bryan Wesley (6-2, C, Sr.) will also provide valuable experience and depth. Tristian brings energy to the defense and is a strong perimeter defender. Bryan is another body inside who will help them on the boards and in the paint. The Jaxs’ freshman class is also filled with potential. Jordan Crosby (5-9, PG, Fr.) is a freshman who has impressed Wright City so far. “Jordan has an extremely high potential as a freshman. Coming into the season, he will be a major role player for Wright City.” Other underclassmen who could make an impact include Kalvin Hickman (5-10, F, Fr.), Gunner Aebischer (5-10, F, Jr.), Jaxon Hill (5-10, F, Jr.), and Jaxon Miller (5-10, G, Fr.).

With a deep roster and high expectations, the Jaxs are focused on making another run in the playoffs this season.
